Dear parents and carers

I would like to say an enormous thank you to you all for your support this year. It has been a great year for us at The Tynings, despite continuing to manage Covid outbreaks, the weather and Ofsted! In the life of the school since I joined, this has been one of the least interrupted years - our success in Ofsted is just a cherry on top of the brilliant teaching, learning and experiences which we have had.  It has been wonderful to see our Year 6 children shine and grow into young adults who are ready to move on to secondary school – we send out very best wishes with them for their futures as we say goodbye. We also wish a fond farewell to those staff who are leaving us, and we hope they enjoy their next steps too. Thank you to all the staff who have worked so hard to keep children’s learning smooth and uninterrupted, and to the governors who have kept us going and celebrated our success.

I wish you a very happy holiday, hope you all stay safe and well, and look forward to seeing (most of) you back in September.

Fundraising

Thank you so much for your donations to Cancer charities yesterday, by encouraging your children to wear something pink! We raised £275, which we handed over to Mrs Butter yesterday – she was incredibly touched by your generosity. Thank you.
