Dear parents
There has been a real ‘festival of books’ feel to this week. It was wonderful to have so many children come back to school on Wednesday either for bedtime stories or toast and tales. Many thanks to all of the staff who read stories and made refreshments.
Today, we have also had many, many parents in school to listen to the children perform poems, and we have had an assembly in which each class performed the same poems to each other. I am really proud of the children for learning their poems and for the way they presented the poems – truly brilliant!
Many thanks for providing dressing up costumes today – it has been good to see so many different book characters in school to round off a great week.
Here’s a small selection of staff costumes….don’t forget to look and see who the BFG has in his hand!
Please see the attached poster from Taylor Tennis, who will be running an Easter tennis holiday club at Cleeve Hill tennis club.
