Dear parents and carers
We are rapidly approaching the Easter break, and everything is very busy as usual! The children in Foxes and Deer classes have been working on an enterprise project to make bags which they will sell to their parents – they all look fantastic!
A group from Year 5 were entered into a ‘Jailbreak’ Competition this week, and took part sportingly showing their sense of fair play and their energy. Many thanks to Mr Mead for organising the team, and to parents who were able to transport the children to Abbotswood Primary in Yate. The competition was organised by Bristol Sport Foundation, who we continue to partner with. I am very proud of the children and their attitudes towards the competition.
When we return from Easter, hopefully the weather will be much better. We continue to have children without coats at the moment – and we have had some spectacular downpours. We try and stay outside as much as we can, so if the children had coats, they might stay a bit drier!
LEAF Trust Updates.
The regional director has made their decision on whether or not we are able to become part of a brand new academy trust, and we have received the decision. A letter will come out today to inform you further, but we are really pleased with the outcome!
On Wednesday, 13 Year 5 children went and represented the Tynings School at the North Jailbreak cup! The team were fantastic and worked incredibly hard and performed exceptionally well finishing in 4th place! The team had to play 5 matches totalling 50 minutes almost back-to-back and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout. Well done to everyone involved!
Exciting news!
