Dear parents and carers
This week we began our whole school project on dragons – with the introduction of a giant egg in assembly! In class, the children have been busy with art work and writing, which will all lead to an exhibition after half term, to which you are all invited! The exhibition will take place on Thursday 8th June and Friday 9th June, and you are welcome to visit between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm on either of those days to see some of the amazing work the children have been doing. This includes a fabulous wicker dragon made by the Year 5 children!
Warm weather
It finally feels like spring is settling in and that summer is on its way! This means that children often take off their cardigans and jumpers….and leave them in all sorts of places. Please can you write your child’s name into their cardigans and jumpers to help us to return them to their owners. Unfortunately, we have an ever growing collection of un-named clothing, which we are unable to return. Thank you
Absences from School
If your child is unwell and therefore not going to be in school, it is absolutely vital that you email the school office before 9.15am. We need to know where the children are and that they are safe – if you don’t call us, then we will follow this up by calling and emailing you. If we still do not have any contact, then myself, Mrs Berger or Mrs Dutton will make a home visit to check everything is ok. This is part of our safeguarding procedure in school. A reminder that the email address is [email protected]
