Dear parents and carers
It was a pleasure to watch the Y6 leavers play this week! The whole school watched their dress rehearsal on Monday, and the Y6 then did two productions for their parents and grandparents, which were brilliant! Thank you to the children and their teachers for putting on such a good show.
Summer Fair
This year’s summer fair was a huge success. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather, which enabled a very relaxing time on the field for parents and children. Thanks to the PSFA for organising another brilliant fair!
Message from Rosie, one of our lunchbreak team:
Myself, Zoe’s mum (Liz) and Avarin’s mum (Zoe) are taking part, as “Team Tynings”, in the MacMillan Wye Valley Mighty Hike. We will be walking a full marathon on September 9th to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Please see the story on our just giving page for more details. trk.justgiving.com
Many thanks, Rosie, Liz & Zoe

Last week of school
Next week the countdown to the holiday really begins.
- Please can your child bring in a carrier bag so that books can be sent home? If they bring this in on Monday, they can keep it in their drawer until it is needed
- We will also be putting out the huge pile of lost property we once again have, so that you can claim what is yours. Weather permitting, we will do this from Monday next week, outside the main office.
- Welly boots will need to come home, unless you wish to donate them to the school’s stock. Please let us know!
This week, some of the children who have music lessons performed what they have been learning to the whole school. We were treated to pieces played on the guitar, keyboard, ukulele and violin. They did a fantastic job and everyone was impressed by their musical skills.
Please see the below message from the Bikeability team.
Please find attached a flyer with all the details of the Bikeability holiday courses.
Unfortunately, we are no longer running level 1 courses.
All children attending these courses must live or go to school in the South Glos area and must have a roadworthy bike and helmet.
The level 2 courses are only for school Year 6 children and above.
The level 3 courses are for school Year 6 children and above and they must have already undertaken a level 2 course.
Learn to ride courses are only for school Year 3 children and above.
We advise children to arrive 10 mins prior to the course start time but you will be required to stay with your child until the course begins and collect your child once the course has finished.
Your child can bring a small snack and drink if they wish.
All courses cost £5 and are non-refundable.
Regards
Cycle Training.
