Dear parents and carers
This week I have been to Mill on the Brue camp with our year six children. It was a fantastic experience for the children, who grew in confidence and resilience as the week went on, despite some awful weather! Many thanks to Miss Curtis, Mr Mead, Mr White and Mrs Mundy for giving up their time to ensure the children had a brilliant time. I hope the children and staff manage to catch up on some sleep over the weekend!
Reading cafes will continue this term. We love inviting parents/carers/grandparents in to share our enjoyment of reading. As always, come in with your child at the start of the day (on the given dates) and enjoy a book with your child. Reading cafes will close at 9:10
Reading cafe dates for the Autumn Term:
Friday 6th October
Friday 3rd November
Poetry cafe will take place on Friday 1st December (more details will be given nearer the date).
Thank you for your support.
Play your part in keeping the area outside our school safe
During last year a total of 149 vehicles received a fixed penalty charge for parking or stopping outside our schools illegally, 28 of these were during term 1. Park Legal will be making regular appearances with foot patrols and camera cars this accadmic year to help ensure our community stays safer for all travelling to and from school.
The Highway code states:
Rule 238
You MUST NOT wait or park on yellow lines during the times of operation shown on nearby time plates (or zone entry signs if in a Controlled Parking Zone)
You MUST NOT wait or park, or stop to set down and pick up passengers, on school entrance markings when upright signs indicate a prohibition of stopping.
