Dear parents and carers
This week the children have had presentations from the Y2/Y3 children about harvest, and launching this year’s harvest appeal. Look out for further information from the children about the food items we will be collecting for the foodbank
I have also noticed an increasing amount of chocolate in lunchboxes! I don’t mind a small chocolate bar or biscuit, but we do want to encourage healthy eating. Some boxes have a fantastically healthy balance of items for the children, but others do not, so I have attached some guidance below, and a leaflet from the Welsh government. I do understand that some children can be fussy, and that you know what your children will eat best, but let’s try and make sure there is a balance, so the children are fuelled up ready to learn in the afternoons. Thank you!

Dear Parents/Carers,
Please can you donate some food for harvest because we are collecting for the foodbank? More people are using foodbanks because bills are rising, and they are struggling to pay for food. We would like to make sure all the people who live near us have enough food to eat.
Please can you bring in your donation to school by Wednesday 18th October? We really appreciate your kindness, and we know that the foodbank will be really grateful. Below is a shopping list from the foodbank to give you some ideas.
Thank you so much!

Please find attached a flyer with all the details of the Bikeability holiday courses.
Unfortunately, we are only able to run level 2 courses during these holidays.
All children attending these courses must live or go to school in the South Glos area and must have a roadworthy bike and helmet.
The level 2 courses are only for school Year 6 children and above.
We advise children to arrive 10 mins prior to the course start time but you will be required to stay with your child until the course begins and collect your child once the course has finished.
Courses will begin on time so if your child is not there at the start time then they will not be allowed to attend the course.
If you are going to allow your child to cycle home on their own after the course has finished we will need a permission note from you.
Your child can bring a small snack and drink if they wish.
All courses cost £5 and are non-refundable.
Regards
Cycle Training.
