Dear parents and carers
Thank you for another great start to the term! I have seen some brilliant learning around the school, and am looking forward to you coming in to chat with teachers next week in parents evening, to find out all about the progress your children are making.
The weather has definitely taken a turn – please can you make sure that the children have their coats and welly boots in school. Thank you
Upcoming events:
Anti-bullying week is 13th – 17th November. Monday 13th is therefore ODD SOCKS DAY! Please can everyone wear odd socks on this occasion to help us to raise awareness of the anti-bullying work we will be doing in school, and to celebrate that we are all unique. Thank you!
Friday 17th November is Children in Need – we will mark this with a non-uniform day, and collect any donations you wish to make. The theme is ‘get SPOTacular’ so we are encouraging everyone to find something spotty to wear (but this is not essential.)
Don’t forget, we are taking part in the Staple Hill Remembrance Parade on Sunday 12th November. Thank you to those who have already volunteered to take part – it would be great to have a few more. Please let the office know if you would like your child to take part, and if you are able to accompany your child.
Inclusion Coffee Morning - Everyone Welcome!
Our next Inclusion ‘Coffee and Chat’ session is on Tuesday 7th November at 9:00. As always, everyone is invited to come along and enjoy some lovely cake and tea/coffee. It’s a great opportunity to chat to the Inclusion Team. I (Angela Berger) will be present, as will Mrs Sutherland (ELSA), Mrs Dutton (Family Support Worker) and Mrs Wood (speech and language TA). We are hoping that other members of the Inclusion Team (Mrs Williams, Mrs Towler and others) will also be able to pop along. We are more than happy to support you with any problems either you or your child are facing. Equally, we are also happy just to have a chat and catch-up!
Staff from South Glos Parent Carers will also be present from 9:15 onwards. They will be able to offer support and advice if you have any concerns about your child’s additional needs.
