Dear parents and carers
I hope you have had a good week. There has been a great deal to think about here, making plans for the safe return of your children. I hope you have read the letter I have sent to parents today regarding this. In the meantime, children of keyworkers have begun work on a new project ‘Survival’ and have spent time making dens and looking at camouflage in art. They have also made some beautiful clocks with Mr and Mrs Mundy.
Staffing news: Congratulations to Mrs Davies, as she and her husband are expecting their first baby in September. Mrs Davies is really looking forward to becoming a mum, but she does miss everyone, especially her Owls class! And of course, whilst Covid-19 is prevalent, she will not be returning to school. We have appointed Miss Esme Davies to cover her maternity contract from September, and will cover her class internally whilst we have a phased ‘re-opening.’ We have also appointed Mr Mead as a permanent member of the school staff, which I know you will all be very pleased about, especially parents of Foxes class.
Half term opening: We are organising our keyworker cover for half term; it is likely that this will NOT be at The Tynings, but held in another school and be run by sports coaches. As soon as we know where this will be, we will let those of you who need this provision know.
Attached is our Who is Who baby competition, ready for you to guess, along with the answers to previous ones.
This week’s website of the week is https://www.tate.org.uk/kids where you can find some great art activities to do. Once again, if you need anything, or have any queries about returning to school, please give us a call or email the office. Take care, and have a good week.
