Dear parents and carers
Our fabulous governors paid us a visit on Monday, to observe the teaching of phonics and reading. They could see the hard work that goes in to supporting children in this vital area of learning. Whilst here, the governors also spoke to groups of children about safety in school, and I am pleased to report that these groups talked very positively about how the school keeps everyone safe.
Thank you to all of those who came to parents evenings – I am sorry to have missed you all due to being unwell, however Mrs Berger reports that there were many, many happy faces leaving after their consultations had taken place.
Dress Up Days
The next two Fridays are dress up days for the school. Next Friday, 8th March, we are dressing up for World Book Day. This is for those children who want to dress up as their favourite book character. If your child does not want to dress up, they will need to wear their school uniform please.
The following Friday, 15th March, is Red Nose Day. The theme this year is ‘red to toe’ & children are encouraged to come dressed in red from head to toe, for a donation to Comic Relief. It would be great to see everyone try to take part in this one! I will share the link for donations nearer the time.
