Dear Parents /Carers
CLASS ARRANGEMENTS 2020-21
I am pleased to be able to give you details of the class organisation for the coming September. As you read though the list, you will notice a You Tube link to each class – the teachers have made videos to show the children who they are and to give a little bit of information for them to help with transition into a new class. The teachers will also be creating two further videos for the final weeks of term, where they will be reading a story for their new class. They will also send out introductions to their new year group next week.
We will be saying goodbye to Mrs English and to Mrs Pike as their contracts end. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all of the hard work they have done with their Badgers class over this past year. Who knows, we may see them again in the future!

TRANSITION MEETINGS
Say goodbye and wave hello! These are short sessions where you can come and say goodbye to the current class teacher and hello to next year’s teacher. These will not be formal meet and greet sessions, which will take place in September. We have to be very stringent about how we do this, to minimise contact with staff and children who are currently in school. Please can you come to school with your children via the main entrance, and then a member of staff will take you to the allotted space for your ‘reunion.’ Those children in school will be able to take part in this session but we will sit them slightly apart from the visitors, and they will take the usual precautions of handwashing once they return to their bubble. We hope to have these meetings outdoors to also help minimise any risk.

SEPTEMBER OPENING
We have now received new guidelines from the Government about September, which I am currently going through to revise our risk assessment. We are planning on being open as usual, as much as we possibly can. We are also aiming to have breakfast and after school clubs running in September. Further details about all of this will be sent out next week.
We have also been informed that school should not be open over the summer holidays, so our Keyworker provision will stop at the end of this term.
Mrs Davis & Mrs Say
Last week I gave you the news that Mrs Say and Mrs Davis were leaving us. Today we can share with you what they will be up to next year! They will be setting up their own gardening business called "Sue & Jo". Please click on the link below for their flyer. We wish them both the very best for this, and hope that we can drum up some business for them!!

READING
It has been brilliant to see just how many children have continued with their reading. Just this week I have had a number of children visit school to receive their ‘100 reads’ reward – choosing a brand new book from my office. Please continue to read with your children, and to your children and look out for more reading developments from September! If your child has completed 50 or 100 reads, please contact us to arrange collecting your book mark or book.
