Dear parents and carers
Thank you for sending in pictures ready for our ‘All You Need is Love’ project displays: we have had some lovely examples as you can see in the photos below. Don’t forget to send in photos and/or hearts to school by next Wednesday if you are doing them at home!
Foodbank shopping list: The February shopping list is below. Once again, we are happy to collect your donations in the lobby and will deliver them to Resound. Thank you in advance for any donations you are able to make – many of our families appreciate the use of the foodbank, especially at the moment.
Reminders:
Next Friday, (12th February) is no longer an inset day, so schooling will happen for the whole week for everyone, at home or in the building. It is then the half term break until Monday 22nd February, when we continue with lockdown learning. Hopefully there will be an announcement about schools re-opening more widely on that day too!
This week we hear from Squirrel class and Miss McCormick, with their book recommendations.
Miss McCormick recommends ‘The Mousehole Cat’ by Antonia Barber and illustrated by Nicola Bayley.
"This is a glorious and dramatic Cornish tale, of Mowzer the cat and Tom the old fisherman, who brave the ‘Great Storm Cat’. The illustrations are rich, colourful and inspiring for anyone who likes drawing or painting. The story is set in the real Cornish village of Mousehole and reminds me of a place that I love to holiday. I recommend this gorgeous book for all children and grown-ups, who are even as old as me! ‘The Mousehole Cat’ will always have an important place on my bookshelves. I hope you enjoy it too!"
