Dear parents and carers
What a week! Thank you to everyone who sent kind messages regarding our inspection, and to those of you who responded to Parent View. Any comments you made were taken into account during the inspection. We now await our report to share the outcome with you – this could take between 5 and 7 weeks.
This week we have looked at the power of ‘yet’ and talked to the children about growth mindset. They have challenged me to learn to ride a skateboard and to perform a trick in assembly, and I have challenged them to embrace every learning opportunity by giving it a go!
Today, we have also welcomed back whole school assemblies. It feels so good to be one whole community again. I think the younger children were surprised to see so many others!
Lost Property
We have a phenomenal amount of lost property in school. We can only return items if they are named, so please make every effort to put your child’s name in jumpers, coats, hoodies and cardigans in particular. Thank you.
Water bottles
We do encourage children to have water bottles in school, and are really pleased that you make sure your children have them. However, there is a small number of bottles which are made of glass, which can easily break (and have done so). Please can you make sure that the water bottle your child brings in isn’t made of glass, and that it has a suitable ‘top’ to just sip from. Thank you!

TV company, Five Mile Films make the Channel 4 series The Dog House. They are currently making a brand-new prime time series for Channel 4 called The Dog Academy which is all about misbehaving dogs and their owners.
They’re looking to hear from people who might be struggling with their dog’s behaviour and need help to overcome their dog’s issues. From small quirks to life impacting behaviour, they’ve assembled a team of the very best trainers in Britain to help owners transform their dogs once and for all.
The series will be filmed later this year, but they’d love to start hearing from people now.
