Dear parents and carers
Just a short newsletter, mainly as a reminder that we have two inset days this week, on Thursday and Friday. Sadly, we are not all off to Glastonbury, but have a company called Commando Joes coming to work with us on Thursday, training us in their character development programme. On Friday, we are working on the action points from our recent inspection.
This week we have had children take part in the Commonwealth Games, organised by CSET, and are taking a group to Pomphrey Hill tomorrow (Thursday) to take part in the MAD Olympiad. Thank you to the staff who have organised this and helped to make sure the children can attend. Y6 are busy rehearsing their end of year ‘Variety Show’, and everyone has completed their end of year assessments. It’s a very busy time of year in school!
Don’t forget, next week we have our own sports events, with KS2 taking part on Monday from 9.15, and EYFS/KS1 on Tuesday from 9.15. Parents and their guests will be expected to sit on the Penny Lane side of the field, to watch their children and to not go near to the children’s activities. If any children become upset or injured, the school staff will care for them, and only come to find you if we need to. Please do not come over to where the children are sitting! So far, there is very little chance of it raining, so we will be going ahead. Don’t forget to bring something to sit on!
I hope you all have a lovely, long weekend!
