Catch Up Funding

Teachers and families have provided extraordinary support to help children learn at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for many children, the disruption caused by school closures will have had a negative impact on learning and wellbeing.

The government announced £1 billion of funding to support children to catch up lost time after school closure. School allocations will be calculated on a per pupil basis. Mainstream schools will get £80 for each pupil.

Our tiered model focuses upon high quality teaching, targeted academic support and wider strategies. It is based on evidenced-based approaches to support pupils (Education Endowment Foundation guidance reports).
